What a matter costs
Fees are set before any work begins, in advisory and contentious matters alike, under a written agreement.
- 01The nature and complexity of the matter
- 02What is at stake for the client
- 03The time the matter requires
Depending on the nature of the engagement, fees are calculated on the basis of an hourly rate or a flat fee, the latter being offered once a first review of the matter makes its scope clear.
The fee agreement
In accordance with the applicable rules, these terms are always set out in a written fee agreement drawn up before the engagement begins, stating how fees are calculated and settled and, where relevant, the foreseeable costs and disbursements.
Standing advisory agreements
For clients with recurring legal needs, the firm also offers tailored standing advisory agreements, matched to how often and in what form its services are called upon.
Legal aid and legal expenses insurance
The firm informs its clients that, subject to conditions, they may be eligible for legal aid or for cover under a legal expenses insurance policy.
